HR Generalist at the Swedish Armed Forces

About the Unit

The Regimental Staff K 3 consists of about 40 employees, half of whom are professional officers and half have a civilian employment. The staff supports the regimental commander and other leaders at the regiment with coordination and follow-up, and provides expert support in a range of different areas of expertise. The staff, led by the Chief of Staff, is organized into nine sections where you, as an HR Generalist, belong to G1, the HR section. At the HR section/G1, generalists and specialists work to support the regiment in strategic and operational HR services. The section is led by the HR Manager/C G1 and the Deputy HR Manager.

Main Responsibilities

As an HR Generalist, you will provide consultative HR support to the regiment's leaders in several HR processes. You will assist in matters concerning labor law, recruitment, onboarding, competence and personnel supply, contractual issues, etc. The position also includes the responsibility to support one of K 3's various units. Daily work consists of a combination of administrative tasks as well as development, improvement work, and follow-up of processes within your area of responsibility. Collaboration with other parts of the Swedish Armed Forces occurs regularly.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Academic degree in HR/Human Resources or other education/work experience that the employer deems equivalent
  • Experience in HR work
  • Good computer skills and very good ability to handle Office programs
  • Good administrative skills
  • Good knowledge of expressing oneself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
  • Driver's license B (manual transmission)

To capture the organization's needs, the HR function works closely with operations, which is why we see you as a good communicator and relationship builder. You have the ability to take initiative and drive processes for the development of the function and the regiment. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

DESIRABLE

  • Experience in HR work within the Swedish Armed Forces or another government agency
  • Good knowledge in labor law
  • Experience in leading and coordinating projects

The Life Regiment Hussars, K 3, has fast and powerful units and a long experience in the intelligence area. K 3 trains a ranger battalion and an intelligence battalion. The ranger battalion is a unit with high mobility that should be able to be the first on site during an operation. The intelligence battalion delivers intelligence by using advanced technology, personnel on the ground, and unmanned aerial vehicles (RPAS).

At K 3, there is also the Swedish Armed Forces Survival School and the Aviation Unit responsible for remotely piloted aircraft systems and military parachuting. Here are also the support functions of the Garrison Unit and the Logistics Unit. Please read more on this page.
